📖 Definition
The Integrations page enables you to create and manage integrations with the third-party tools (DMPs, CDPs, etc.) available on your Flagship account.
From there, you can activate integrations in order to retrieve all the audiences you have configured in your third-party tools. You will then be able to use them as targeting keys in the Targeting configuration step and as filters in the reporting of your use cases.
To access the integration page, go to Settings > Integrations. It is divided into 3 main sections:
Generated integration API keys
This section displays the list of all integration API keys that have been generated for your integrations.
An integration API key is a unique key that enables a link between Flagship and a third-party tool.
The name of each integration API key refers to the name of the third-party tool to which it is linked.
⭐ Good to know Each API key is unique and will only work with its related third-party tool. |
Some integrations do not require an API key.
However, for those requiring an API key, we recommend keeping it safe. Indeed, the API key is displayed when you configure the integration for the first time, but you will not be able to access it anymore after that time.
If you have lost your API key, you can still revoke it and generate a new one directly from the integration line of your third-party tool in Flagship.
Integration configuration
This section enables you to activate an integration with a third-party tool supported by Flagship.
The dropdown list displays the available third-party tools.
If you would like an integration with a tool that is not on the list, please send us an email with your request.
After selecting your tool, you will be asked to configure the integration by filling in the required fields.
Activated integrations
This section displays the integrations you have activated with your third-party tools. From there, you can edit the integration configurations, read the integration documentation and delete it.
⚙️ Configuration
Activating and configuring an integration
To retrieve the audiences of a web analytics tool, you must enable and configure its integration in Flagship.
From the integrations page, apply the following steps:
- From the third-party tool dropdown list, select your tool.
- Fill in the required fields (if any).
- Click Add tool.
-
If an API key is requested, a popin appears with the key. Copy it and keep it safe as you won’t be able to retrieve it from the platform once you close the popin.
The integration appears in the list. - Configure the integration from the third-party tool. For more on this, refer to the integration documentation of the tool by clicking on Learn more.
Once the integration is activated, you must send the flagship_visitor_id to your third-party tool via one of the methods indicated in the integration documentation.
Retrieving and using your audiences
Once you have activated and configured the integration, you will be able to retrieve your tool’s audiences in Flagship.
Note that it may take some time for the audiences to be displayed in Flagship depending on the tool (see the documentation of your tool to learn more).
You will be able to use these audiences:
-
In the targeting step of your use cases to target your visitors.
-
In the filters of your use case reporting to filter on a specific audience.
🚩 Heads up In the filters of your reporting use case, you will be able to see all the audiences of the third-party tools integrated in your account. You will be able to filter on any of them, even if they have not been used in your use case. Indeed, if you filter on an audience that is not used in your use case, no results will come up. |
